The brief.....
You are employed as the concept designers for this new animation. You will need to think like a scientist and to create believable, realistic animals that could exist and survive on this planet.
As scientists, you will be exploring and learning about animals, their environments and how they adapt to survive in these habitats.
As scientists you will need to understand food chains, food webs and their adaptations for survival on this planet. This will help you in the design process for these alien animals that will be discovered during the Voyage of Discovery animation.
Students from Room 7 have worked in teams to investigate, design and create creatures for Planet X that have been discovered. A brief outline of the Planet was given to the students and from here they had to think about adpatations that their creatures would need in order to survive!

Frozen poles
Tundra like continents
Max temperature is 16 degrees at the Equator
Shorter days than earth
After completing a "Biology degree" to learn all about animals, classification, MRS GREN, adaptations and food webs, students designed ideas for animals for this planet before working in a team to complete their designs and scientific reports on these discovered creatures!
