For your exploration of Lighting you will have the opportunity to produce a series of images demonstrating your understanding and control of Continuous Lighting and Flash Lighting. Once you have produced these images and annotated them in your visual diary you will then need to produce 1 final image that applies your understanding of Lighting to create aesthetic qualities in a final image. This final image will be extensivly annotated to explain how you have used the materials and techniques of Lighting to communicate ideas and create your aesthetic qualities.
Natural light comes from the sun. Even if you are shooting at night under moon light this is still sunlight being reflected off the moon.
Continuous light is light that you turn on and it does not change until you turn it off. Professional theatre and stage lights are continuous lights as are house lights and desk lamps.
Strobe or flash light is light that fires very bright for a very short time, like 1/4000th of a second. Strobe or flash light is great for photography as it can be super bright but only for the fraction of a second you need.
