Program Description:
In this session, attendees will learn about a collaborative approach to teaching information literacy through a cross discipline service learning project in a computer skills course. This project provided students will a real world application of skills from all three disciplines and focused on preparing students to be informed citizens who can affect social issues within their communities. Attendees will also gain ideas for creating collaborative projects that include information literacy and service learning.
