The nature trail is one third of a mile long and starts in the science garden. Then it goes through the forest of conifers and deciduous trees, including pines and birch, and ends behind the school's gym.
The science garden is filled with the most beautiful flowers and plants because of the fifth graders who worked hard to make it more attractive to the human eye. The fourth grade will be finding ways to attract pollinators such as bees, wasps, and birds, etc. Note: Also home to pretty weeds, such as dandelions.
The vernal pool is a seasonal pool that gives special animals, such as wood frogs and salamanders, food and habitats in the spring and early summer. In the winter, it fills up again and freezes over. Thanks, Jack Frost...
