I am so happy you are here! My name is Amanda Merrill, and I'm beyond thrilled to be one of your GATE Middle School teachers. I can't wait to get to know you as we laugh and learn together this year.

I earned my Bachelors degree in education from Oakland University (Go Grizzlies!) with a major in Language Arts.
I started teaching at GATE in 2019 in 2/3 grade. I joined the middle school family in 2021, and have loved every minute of it!
Before GATE, I taught for 3 years in Dryden, Michigan, as a kindergarten and 2/3 teacher.
My favorite animal is a sloth!

I enjoy going on mini adventures across Michigan with my family and seeing what our wonderful state has to offer.
I love playing games! Spot-It gets intense in our house 🎲
