I earned my Bachelor's Degree from Texas Woman's University in 2014 where I majored in Education (Early Childhood to Middle School) and minored in ESL.
I earned my Master's Degree from Troy University in 2017 where I majored in Gifted and Talented Education.
I started teaching at GATE in 2019 as the 3/4 teacher. In 2020 I moved up to 6/7/8 and I am excited to be starting my 7th year in GATE Middle School and my 10th year of teaching Gifted students!
Before GATE, I taught in a Gifted program in Alabama for 3 years and loved every minute of it!

My husband and I were married in 2018. We moved from Alabama to Michigan that same year and we love it here!
Our first son arrived on May 1, 2024. He has been such a joy in our lives!
The rest of my family lives in Texas. I have 4 older siblings. Fun fact: Tucker is my parents' 10th grandchild!
We are expecting our second son any day now!

Peppermint was originally a classroom fish in the first days of GATE. During the Covid shutdown, I brought him home with me and he has been with us ever since!
