Course Goals:
The student will be introduced to the discipline of World Geography by emphasizing the history of Worldview’s, the different climates, Environments, peoples and cultures.
The student will demonstrate an understanding of the World’s physical geography, cultural population patterns and lifestyles.
The student will develop an understanding of the relationship between people and their environment and their cultural expressions.
The student will develop an awareness of the differences between Earth-Sun relationships and Factors Affecting Climate change and Climate Patterns.
Method of evaluation:
1. Teacher observation and review of student work.
2. Quizzes and tests (mastery level 60% or better).
