A-G Requirements
Do you want to apply straight to a four-year college or university after high school graduation? If so, you will need to complete the following classes with a "C" or better in order to be eligible to apply to a four-year college. These classes are called the "A-G requirements":
A -- History/Social Science: 2 years
B -- English: 4 years
C -- Mathematics: 3 years (4 recommended for UC)
D -- Laboratory Science: 2 years (3 years recommended for UC)
E -- Language Other Than English: 2 years (3 years recommended for UC)
F -- Visual & Performing Arts: 1 year
G -- College Preparatory Elective: 1 year
By completing the A-G requirements, you will be eligible to apply to California State Universities, Universities of California, and other 4 year colleges.
The minimum GPA for UC schools is 3.0.
The minimum GPA for CSUs is 2.0.

Counselors are located in both the Counseling office and the Lopes Center (Room 824). Office hours are from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Students are encouraged to meet with their Counselor, get help from our Pupil Service Technicians (PSTs), meet in small groups, or use the campus computers.
