Each student will learn and apply visual hierarchy to create an inspiring poster with different lettering styles and fonts.

In this project, students learned about visual hierarchy, specifically hierarchy of font.  They applied contrast in lettering styles, size, and color to make what they deemed the most important message to stand out in a creative poster.

Students could illustrate their posters, or just focus on lettering.  They needed color for their final poster, and none of the original sketch layer showing through.

Students also applied gridding knowledge to lay out each letter and determine its size using the process below.
