First grade comes to the library once a week. While these first graders are in the library they will complete library skills:

Power Standard

Grade 1

Pursue:Students read, view, and listen to different materials for a variety of purposes.

Investigate and Think Critically:Students research, manage and evaluate information and solve problems using digital tools and resources.

^{I am beginning to alphabetize by first letter.}

Practice Digital Citizenship:Students demonstrate a clear understanding of technology systems and operations and practice safe, legal and ethical behavior.

First Grade Students will also work on science. The standards in which first graders will accomplish are based about the National Science Grade Level Science Standards (NGSS) which Washington state has adopted and is supporting. The standard integrated in the library is:
