ACE Camp

ACE (Aviation Career Education Academy) camp is a fun, interactive aviation summer camp geared toward students who are interested in aviation and aerospace.  The goal is to give students awareness of aviation history, different career opportunities, preparation  & planning a flight, the physics of flight, and the design and maintenance of aircraft.  It's an adventure where students use flight simulators and go on field trips.  Students will have many opportunities, including a chance to fly in an airplane with the US Aviation Academy.

Mays Transformational Leadership Academy

Open to all underrepresented rising seniors (current juniors)  from underrepresented groups who have an interested in pursuing a business degree.  The program will provide a series of sessions for prospective students to get a glimpse of Mays and to develop leadership skills through interactive workshops. Students who attend all MTLA sessions will be eligible for 1 of 10 $1000 scholarships to attend Mays Business School.

Camp Arch is a residential, one week,  interdisciplinary summer camp at Texas A&M University.   This camp is designed to give students an opportunity to experience the professions of architecture, construction, landscape architecture & urban planning. Students will be introduced to the fundamentals of the field while allowing them to explore and expand upon their abilities to create and construct projects that will be showcased at the end of the week.  Campers will also experience the Spirit of Aggieland, participating in interactive social activities, housed in dormitories, and taught by faculty and graduate students from the College of Architecture

Spend the Day with the Corps (SDWC)

Selection Guidelines:

SDWC is an official campus visit offered twice each summer  to Texas A&M University providing an outstanding opportunity to gain invaluable information about the University and the Corps of Cadets. Activities throughout the day include a university admissions application workshop, presentations from various departments around campus, including scholarships and financial aid, involvement with Cadets, Staff and ROTC representatives, and tours.  This fun and informative day will end with a "Fightin Texas Aggie" Yell Practice.  

Cost is $25 per family.

Spend the Night with the Corps (SDWC)

Selection Guidelines:

Spend the Night with the Corps offers a unique, first-hand experience of Corps and student life at Texas A&M most weeks during the fall and spring semesters. (dates are on link below).  Participants will meet current cadets, stay in the Corps dorms, eat meals and attend classes with a cadet, will hear from key staff,  learn about the university's admissions process, financial aid, scholarships and academic support, and see state of the art facilities.  Those interested will have a chance to visit with the Aggie Band director.  Admitted seniors can audition for the band during the spring semester.

Cost is $40 per person.

Selection Guidelines:

SFA Pre-Law Academy is a fun, intense week of interaction with our state's top judges and attorneys as well as SFA professors.  You will get to participate in an exciting mock trial competition with guidance from experienced local attorneys.  You will also have the opportunity to participate in hands-on learning experiences, including crime scene investigation simulation, discussions of court cases & controversies, mock negotiations, and mock trial competition.

 Whether you plan to pursue the criminal justice career area or not, you will discover if a career in law might be right for you.  Prepare to leave SFA with great experiences, memories, new friends, and inspiration for your future.

Camp L.E.A.D. is Texas Tech University's leadership program and personal development program at Texas Tech University.  The camp offers exciting experience and growth opportunity for top students who have demonstrated leadership potential.  Camp LEAD will give interested students an in-depth look at life as a Red Raider!.

Participants leave with the tools and materials to be stronger leaders in their respective schools and communities and are better prepared to exhibit such qualities and character.
