In order to be considered for this scholarship, an applicant must
A. Be a graduating senior from a high school in Henderson County
B. Plan to attend a college or university of your choice in the summer/fall and
pursue a program in which you will receive teacher certification, including
but not limited to Coaching, Ag, Tech, Visual & Performing Arts, etc.
C. Submit a completed & typed application on or before November 15, 2024
D. Include the following
1. The application, fully completed
2. Current transcript, verified GPA and class rank
3. THREE completed reference forms (2 teachers, 1 personal)
4. A TYPED description of your school and community activities
5. A 250 word TYPED essay in which you discuss your educational and
career aspirations as well as your ability to complete and achieve these
goals
6. A copy of your college acceptance letter.

Be currently enrolled in high school and graduating in the spring of 2025
Must have a minimum unweighted 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale or 7.5 on a 10.0 scale
Must enroll at an accredited higher education institution in 2025-2026
Be of Hispanic heritage (includes Spain, Brazil, Philippines)
If selected, attendance to virtual regional awards ceremony is mandatory
