RE: Clarification on MM Cohort in Rockwell, 240911cae Just sharing notes from our discussion this morning, RE: Louie's insistence (or understanding) that there is already an MM cohort in Rockwell since 2 years ago. Summary:
We do not have an MM cohort in Rockwell because it will need a revision of the curriculum per advice from Dr. MM.
The Carousel is not needed in Rockwell because it has enough students for the "Hop On, Hop Off" enrollment.
For Sites, what can be done for new students is limit the offering of courses following the recommended class sequence so students will be limited to taking those courses only but it cannot be strictly called a "cohort" because there is no such enforceable curriculum as of yet.
Recommended course sequence (or link to it on the AGSB Website) can be included in the Admission Letter for the student's guidance.
What was presented (by you) in the Dean's Council Meeting are ideas on how to sequence course offerings -- the sequencing per program, the carousel, etc. -- but a final decision in the form of policy is needed, which shall be implemented by the Academic department and not by the Registrar's Office.
Advising is not a Registrar's Office function, it is the Academic Department's.
Let me know if I missed anything.
