Welcome to our class!
This class will have the following learning environments:
ASU immersion: On campus, in-person. Please be aware that face coverings are required in classrooms and in outdoor community spaces. There will be a maximum capacity of students in the classroom.
ASU Sync: Synchronous, technology-enhanced and fully interactive remote learning using live lectures via Zoom.
Online Asynchronous: Recorded lectures available on demand

In order to connect during class time, you will need
Web browsers (Chrome, Mozilla Firefox), or Safari)
Adobe Acrobat Reader (free)
Adobe Flash Player (free)
Webcam, microphone, headset/earbuds, and speaker
Microsoft Office (Microsoft 365 is free for all currently-enrolled ASU students)
Reliable broadband internet connection (DSL or cable) to stream videos.
Note: While you may be able to access course content (including Zoom) with mobile devices, be advised that a computer is optimal for connecting to zoom, assignments, quizzes, and virtual labs.

The intention behind Sync is to have the flexibility for students to succeed no matter where they are! To be successful:
attend synchronous sessions whenever possible
check the Canvas course shell daily
read announcements
read and respond to course email messages as needed
watch (or re-watch) recorded course content as needed
complete assignments by the due dates specified
communicate regularly with your instructor and peers
create a study and/or assignment schedule to stay on track
access ASU Student Resources
Your learning environment will be unique to you. To optimize your new learning environment, here are some suggestions.
Create a dedicated area for course work
Designate a recurring time for course work
Join or create a study group to connect with others
Practice self-care
