Explore the process of our innovation where science meets design. As ASU students, we proudly introduce you to the future of furniture - a blend of space with STEM principles and extraordinary designs.
Our goal isn't just to design new furniture, it's about redefining spaces, enhancing functionality, and pioneering sustainable design for the modern world. Each piece is a story of innovation, crafted with care, and designed to inspire. This is more than a presentation, it's our vision for a future where design and STEM come together to create furniture.
The Nomad Chair. A bar-height chair with optimal, intuitive backpack storage. A specific STEM product that provides backpack storage, backpack accessibility, and compatibility with any bag type, especially ones on the larger side, as well as typical needs like comfort, mobility, and stability.
An innovative work table featuring pop-up dogs for attaching various accessories. These pop-up dogs can be easily activated with a single press, extending when needed and lying flat against the table when not in use, preserving students' workspace.
The “Pilot” Podium is a teaching and lecture podium designed to give more space, storage, and freedom to the users. The podium has dual storage devices; a built-in opening in the head and a removable storage drawer under a storage platform. The removable storage compartment can be rolled away or carried by the handles.
Accessories are designed as an attachment to the table to support storage space and manage clutter. This will improve efficiency in working among students and support productive work.
The pull-out drawers have an extra feature of attaching to the pop-up dogs on the table to be used as an organizer for STEM students' things and have pull-out dividers for the students to freely adjust how big or small they want to make a space in their drawer to be. The unit itself includes regular pull-out drawers meant to store tools and other things as the user desires.
