The SMART approach is an effective way to set and achieve goals. Forbes explains, “Vividly describing your goals in written form is strongly associated with goal success, and people who very vividly describe or picture their goals are anywhere from 1.2 to 1.4 times more likely to successfully accomplish their goals than people who don’t.” You'll use this process for your Module 1 Assignment. It's also a useful strategy to share with students in the context of career planning.
The ultimate goal of this course is to create a long term, sustainable professional development plan to support your higher education career service delivery and management. To support this goal, you will be creating this professional development plan in steps throughout the course.
