The High School Physical Education curriculum follows a multi-activity model. The outcome of this model is an introduction to a variety of physical activities and sports. Classes will stress the importance of student participation and sportsmanship. Students are expected to take good care of equipment and locker room facilities, be respectful to the instructor, substitute teacher, and other students in the class, have a positive attitude, exemplify sportsmanship, be on time, and do not use inappropriate language.
Starting in August 2021, the Washington State Health Standards will be taught in Advisory, Biology, and PE classes.
Health and Nutrition is a one semester elective course for High School juniors and seniors. In this course, students will learn basic nutrition, menu planning, cooking techniques, improvising from the ingredients in the cupboard, and plenty of hands on cooking so students will be ready to feed themselves in college.
