AP International Diploma

Students must earn scores of 3 or higher on five or more total AP Exams, based on the exam criteria requirements listed within each of the content areas below. Note: The lists below includes only those courses offered at AST. For a full course list, visit the AP International Diploma website.

Content Area 1

Any two (2) eligible AP world language or English exams, if the exams are across two different languages.

    • English Language and Composition

Content Area 2

One AP Exam offering a global perspective

    • Comparative Government and Politics

    • Environmental Science

    • Human Geography

Content Area 3

One AP Exam from either the sciences or math and computer science

AP Scholars

  • AP Scholar: Granted to students who receive scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP Exams

  • AP Scholar with Honor: Granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams

  • AP Scholar with Distinction: Granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams

  • International AP Scholar: Granted to the one male and one female student attending a school outside the United States and Canada that is not a DoDEA school with the highest average score on the greatest number of AP Exams. The minimum requirement is a score of 3 or higher on three exams.
