Fares and Monthly Passes
You have to purchase a multicard which is a non-personal, contactless, rechargeable Public Transport Card, which lasts for ten years and can be used to hold tickets. A single Metro Ride is.60 centavos or you can purchase a 10-ride or monthly pass (see below).
CERCANIAS/ COMMUTER RAIL
Regional trains are listed on a map with the red “C” for Cercanias. Cercanias uses a different ticketing system and must be bought at the Cercanias station. The single trip price from zone 1 to 2 is 1.70€. A 10-ride ticket is 10.00€

10-RIDE METRO AND EMT BUS Find complete Metro Ticket info here.
10-trip card good for local buses and the Metro for €6.20. These can be bought in Metro stations or Tabac stores.
10-RIDE INTERURBANO BUS
10-trip card - ask for Zona A/B 1 is €12.20. A single ticket is €2.00. Purchase tickets at Moncloa Station Tabac on the lower level or the Tabac near ASM. It is best to have exact change and they do take cards.
MONTHLY (ABONO MENSUAL)
A monthly pass (abono) for the metro, city buses, and regional trains (only as far as Aravaca). There are various options depending on the zones you travel to.
26 OR YOUNGER
Your monthly pass(abono) is only €20. There are offices in the Sol, Moncloa, and Principe Pio metro stations where you have to apply for the card.
