From September 1, you will be covered by Adeslas, the private health insurance provided by ASM.
If you would like to add your immediate family members, the cost is approximately 80€ per person and it would be deducted from your monthly pay. The Business Office would set this up for you.
Important: you will need to have insurance coverage through September 1 when the private health insurance company, Adeslas, covers you through ASM. Until then it is imperative that you are covered by your own policy. Once you have your Spanish residency card (NIE) you will also be part of the Spanish Social Security (public health system). This usually happens in September or October.

MEDICO SEGURIDAD SOCIAL
Spaniards have free National Health Care. Each neighborhood has a clinic and you will be assigned a family doctor. In order to use services at your local clinic you have to register at the Ayuntamiento in your area (empadronamiento). MTS will assist you with this.
Please register with your family doctor before you actually need it. Otherwise, you won't be able to get medical appointments when you need it and you will have to go to ER when you are unwell.
Once you've registered, you can download an app called "Cita Sanitaria" that will allow you to book appointments with your Doctor (both online or in person)
Mamen Elvira and Maria Pascual are the school nurses.
While on campus, they provide immediate service for any medical issues. They are also a great resource for medical referrals or when you need assistance with seeking medical care.
