Grade 12
Honorable chairs, delegates, faculty, guests, and supporting members,
My name is Leah Kanegawa and I am one of your secretary generals for the 2025 ASIJMUN conference. I am currently a senior here at ASIJ, and this will be the final conference of my high school career. I have been a part of MUN for around four years and some of my fondest high school memories have been from this club. I hope this conference will be just as memorable for you.
A huge thank you to everyone involved—organizers, delegates, and advisors—for making this event possible.
Please email me at 25kanegawale@asij.ac.jp if you need help.
Looking forward to seeing you guys in April!
Leah
Grade 11
Honorable Chairs, Delegates, Faculty, Guests, and Supporting members,
My name is Mirabel Lee and I am one of your secretary generals for ASIJMUN 2025. I grew up in New York until around middle school and now I am a junior at ASIJ. I began my Model United Nations journey in 7th grade. I have had so much fun traveling and meeting new people from many parts of the world while getting to discuss many of the worlds most prevalent issues.
MUN is so much more than just a competition. One of the most difficult yet incredible parts of MUN to me is being able to put myself into the shoes of another country--another perspective on a global issue that might not be my own--and as a result, gain more understanding of why their beliefs differ from mine.
I would like to thank everyone for their hard work, and I hope that in these upcoming 2 days, you will not only create outstanding speeches/POIs, capture outstanding footage, or successfully pass notes from one delegate to another but create lasting memories, new friendships and for those of you visiting Tokyo, get to see explore the city!
Please email me at 26leem@asij.ac.jp if you need anything at anytime!
See you soon!
