What does "GLT" stand for?

The full name of GLT is "Greenland Telescope Project". It was renamed in 2012 following the selection of the telescope site in Greenland. The reason for choosing Greenland is related to the fact that the conditions in this area are very suitable for astronomical observations at submillimeter wavelengths.
