I am excited to be on the 4th grade team for a fifth year and am looking forward to a fun and exciting year ahead!
I grew up in Kingston, Ontario, Canada and feel very lucky to have family all across Canada, from the East coast to the West coast!
I completed a Bachelor's degree in Applied Science from the University of Guelph, Canada, and a Graduate Diploma in Education in Melbourne, Australia. I have also completed my TESL and TESMC certification courses and have had extensive training in the area of ESL.
I began teaching English as a Second Language in South Korea 19 years ago. From there, I attended university in Melbourne, Australia to complete my post graduate teacher education training. I have had the opportunity to teach students from all over the world in the Middle East, Southern China, Hong Kong and Mexico! My role as an educator is to inspire students and help them achieve their goals and develop a lifelong love for learning. I have taught in diverse classrooms and embrace what each individual student brings to the school community!
Outside of the classroom I enjoy spending time with my family and exploring new places in Mexico. I am learning Spanish with the hopes to improve my oral communication!
I am grateful to be part of the amazing 4th Grade team as we make this school year a very memorable one!
