*SEL is our "social and emotional learning" commitment this year. Ms. Maricela will be working with our class for human development classes and counseling needs.

*Technology will be taught by Mr. Andres in a block during our classroom time this trimester.
Next trimester, the science labs with Ms. Kristen and Mr. Memo will be integrated into the classroom curriculum.

Hello and welcome to room 4-28!
My name is Mr. Michael and this will be my third school year at ASFG. I'm from Evergreen, Colorado and I have a master's degree in education from the University of Colorado. Before teaching third and fourth grade at ASFG, I taught fifth-grade and middle-school English literature at the American School in Recife, Brazil. I've also taught bilingual elementary science in Denver, Colorado, and have lived in Peru, Costa Rica, and the Dominican Republic. I speak English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Quechua.
I love being outside so my interests include travel, backpacking, and camping. You can often find me reading, listening to music, and riding my motorcycle. I enjoy learning about different cultures and trying new foods. In our classroom, we learn about and celebrate the differences that make us who we are. I want every one of my students to feel like they belong in our classroom. We will grow academically, show kindness, and have fun while we learn every day!
