"Just Right" Homework Policy

• 120 minutes of reading per week (an hour of each language - or more!)

• Students will document completed texts on the Tower of Reading

• Math homework will be assigned as needed 

  • Unfinished work and some review

• Any unfinished classwork

• Research, typing, and gathering materials as needed

• Towards the end of the year, students may have work with Folklorama

Missing Work

• We will contact you via email if missing work is an issue

• If students continue to have missing work, we will meet as a team (parents, student, teachers) to help children get back on track

• Per the school policy, students will complete their missing work after absences 

Snack Policy

• Snack is 10:00-10:10

• Healthy snacks (fruits, veggies, nuts)

• Reusable Tupperware 

• Reusable water bottles

Cellphone Policy

• Please see handbook

• No smart phones at ASFG

• No calling during the school day

• If teachers see a students with a Smart Phone, we will turn it into the office

Recess

• We will have a lunch and recess break daily from 12:00 - 12:30. All students will first sit and eat for 10 minutes, then we encourage students to move, play and socialize

• Students are expected to dispose of their trash and leave their area clean

• Thank you for being flexible and understanding as we navigate the next phase of construction
