When ASE Civil is not loaded/auto-loading in Civil 3D, do the following:
Type 'Options' at the command line
Select the 'Profiles' tab
Import the 'AseCivil24.arg' user profile from the install folder:
Activate the 'AseCivil24' user profile
Click 'Apply'
Close the 'Options' window.
Performing these steps automatically adds the ASE Civil executable to AutoCAD's Startup Suite, but it does not load the executable. To load, close and re-open the drawing or start a new drawing.
Executable files in the Startup Suite do not load until a drawing is opened after the executable has been added to the Startup Suite.
Manual executable loading may or may note be required one or more times to "kick start" AutoCAD's Auto-loading functionality. Some users have experienced problems with ASE Civil's .VLX not loading automatically the first few times. Then, after loading it manually from the AutoCAD ``Load/Unload Applications'' window, it started loading on its own thereafter.
ASE cannot explain this failure. We're only able to work around it by reloading it until it begins to auto-load on its own.
Manual loading may sometimes be required to trigger auto-loading. This may require multiple attempts in a worst-case scenario.
A new command in the [Mgt] tab provides 1-click executable loading. (See below)
This new command (script) in the ribbon will force-load ASE Civil.
In scenarios where ASE is not loaded for whatever reason, simply click this button.
