ASE Civil was installed via .MSI but the previous version was not removed*
ASE Civil was installed via .MSI but operation is erratic, illogical or unpredictable
Installing a new version on top of an older version usually results in abnormal function of ASE Civil. It's critically important that all legacy versions of ASE [and all references to them] are completely removed before installing ASE Civil with via the .MSI installer.
Normally, if the .MSI installer was used to add ASE Civil to your system, uninstallation will remove all files & folders and de-register ActiveX controls in the Windows Registry, making the procedure below obsolete.
