After ASE Civil is installed, Civil 3D must be configured to load ASE and its components & resources (ribbon, temp folder locations, images, etc.). The guidelines on this page lists all actions that must be completed to ensure that ASE Civil is properly installed, C3D is correctly configured & the two are ready to work together.

ASE Civil has been installed. However, some technical issue now requires manual configuration of C3D to get ASE up-and-running.
Start Civil 3D
Open or create a drawing.
Type 'Options' at the command line
Select the 'Profiles' tab
Import user profile "C:\AseApps\AseCivil17\AseCivil24.arg"
Activate user profile "AseCivil24"
Verify the ribbon is loaded or load it from "C:\AseApps\AseCivil17\AseCivil17_x_x_x.cuix"
Verify “C:\AseApps\AseCivil17\AseCivil17.vlx” is present in the AutoCAD Startup Suite, otherwise load it. (Remember this will only apply to the active user profile)
Select the 'Files' tab

Start Civil 3D
ASE Civil should be loaded in AutoCAD/Civil 3D and ready to run .
