In previous releases ASE Civil was deployed via installation by archive extraction. However, this method of installation does not get registered with the rest of Windows installed applications, making configuration and removal somewhat messy.
This shortfall has finally been addressed with the introduction of the Windows installer for ASE Civil 17.14.8.10[B].

This 'V-Control' feature was broken for a quite some time. It couldn't be debugged, so the entire subsystem had to be rewritten! I was surprised how many different clients asked for this feature to be restored. I had no idea the impact this feature had on client productivity. This option has now been restored to full-function.

After ASE Civil is used to auto-define centerline alignments throughout the site, when converting those ASE alignments to Civil 3D alignments, all start stations and extension lengths will now be replicated in their associated Civil 3D format exactly as specified in the ASE alignments properties preferences. (In previous versions, the converted Civil 3D alignment start station would collapse to "0+00")
Many icons have been replaced, macros have been restored and/or repaired, tooltips have been added(where missing), unused elements are being removed and more. This is an ongoing process that, once complete, will mark the beginning of ASE Civil 23.
