Sulforaphane is derived from broccoli, and it possesses a unique structure due to its isothiocyanate group. As a result, it presents a unique backbone to explore for anticancer treatment, and one way to maximize its activity is by combining it with another potent anticancer drug, cephalotaxine. This project will focus on analyzing the anticancer effect of sulforaphane and its derivatives in combination treatments through assays on cells and molecular biology techniques including western blotting and PCR.
