New Students

Welcome to the research program!

As your advisor, I will support and guide you, offering feedback and collaboration on your project. I will help you find reference materials, design experiments, maintain regular consultations, and request updates on your progress.

In return, I expect you to:

- Dedicate yourself seriously to your research.

- Be meticulous, accurate, and honest in data measurement and recording.

- Report results transparently.

- Make consistent progress.

- Cooperate positively with others.

- Complete work timely and document it properly.

- Communicate regularly and professionally.

- Enjoy and have fun with your work.

Regular lab meetings are mandatory for interaction and planning. You should also meet independently with group members 2-3 times a week and email meeting minutes to the group and advisor.

Productivity expectations:

- Commit 15-20 lab hours per week during the school year and 25-30 hours per week during the summer.

- Work at least one weekday in addition to weekends.

- Stay updated on current literature.

- Earn authorship through contributions.

- Maintain detailed lab notebooks and upload all data to the shared Google Drive daily.

Upon successfully completing the program, you can request letters of recommendation by submitting a cover letter and your CV six weeks in advance.
