Hello from the ASD Parent Teacher Association (PTA)! We welcome all our returning and new parents, teachers, administration, and students.
Our PTA is an integral part of the school community with a positive reputation for supporting ASD throughout the years. We look forward to meeting with new members of the ASD community while continuing to build on our existing relationship with so many of you.
Our mission is simple and focused: support and strengthen the ASD community by reinforcing the parent-teacher-student partnerships and strengthening the bond between home and school. We are a voice for every parent, faculty, administrator, and student. Every person in the ASD community is a vital member of the PTA, and we all have an essential role to play!

The PTA Friendship Festival is the PTA's largest and most popular event of the year which everyone looks forward to! It consists of carnival booths with prizes, food booths, local cultural demonstrations, local business booths, ASD and local entertainment, and a silent sale with donations from local businesses and our sponsors. The PTA Friendship Festival is an annual community event and draws people from the Doha area for a fun day of entertainment for adults and kids of all ages.
The annual PTA Elementary School Book Fair is one of our most fun and successful events, putting hundreds of books into the hands of our students.
A popular PTA event particularly with students. We host a free buffet luncheon for students and staff celebrating the many cuisines of our multi-cultural ASD community. The buffet is held during the annual ASD International Week.
The PTA hosts a free open evening for parents and students to learn about the many and varied activities available to children and parents in Doha. Many sports, cultural, and musical clubs and associations attend to accept new members.
PTA hosts a lunch to show our appreciation to the ASD faculty and staff, from teaching to maintenance, who care for our children and school.
Are you looking for a fun and easy way to get involved in the ASD Parent Community? Being an Elementary School (ES) Homeroom Parent is a great way to get involved and meet other parents! Homeroom parents manage ES parties throughout the school year, coordinate in-class teacher recognition events (such as birthdays) and organize the class basket for our annual Friendship Festival Silent Sale.
All funds raised from PTA events are 100% reinvested into other activities or directly back into the school to support our students! This year, the PTA has been able to contribute to new MS Courtyard Flooring, HS Tennis Court Shading, ES Music Support, Library Author Visits, support for traveling educational specialists to the St. Pius school in Tanzania, Africa, and more!
