Dear new ASD families,
Welcome to the American School of Doha! We are thrilled that you have chosen to join our learning community. Whether you are moving from across the globe or from just across the city, we recognize that starting at a new school is a significant milestone for your family.
Once a Dragon, Always a Dragon
Joining ASD means more than just a new schedule: it means becoming a Dragon. In our community, being a Dragon is about integrity, pride, and belonging. As your child transitions into this new chapter, they will find that being a Dragon also means they are part of a the ASD family, and the ASD legacy of excellence.
Our Values in Action
As you settle in, you will see our core values reflected in everything we do. These values are the heartbeat of our community:
Honesty: We prioritize open, transparent communication to build a foundation of trust with our families.
Respect: We celebrate the diverse backgrounds and perspectives that everyone brings to our community.
Responsibility: We take pride in our collective responsibility to create a safe and nurturing environment for all learners.
Kindness: You will find a community ready to lend a hand and welcome you with open arms.
Your Journey Starts Now
The start of a school year is a vibrant time at ASD, marked by new opportunities for connection and cherished traditions. Our faculty, staff, and returning students are eager to meet you and help you find your place in our community. Please do not hesitate to contact our team if you have any questions as you prepare for your first day.
On behalf of the entire ASD Leadership Team, welcome home. We look forward to seeing you on campus in August!
Warm regards,
Dr. Victor Guthrie
