Welcome to the Lower Elementary School and the American School of Doha!
It is a pleasure to welcome you and your family to the Lower Elementary School at the American School of Doha.
We are a culturally rich and linguistically diverse community, with families from more than 70 nationalities connected by a shared commitment to Respect, Responsibility, Honesty, and Kindness. This foundation shapes how we learn, work, and care for one another each day.
In the Lower Elementary School, children enjoy a strong sense of belonging in a calm, welcoming, and purposeful environment. Our teachers are caring and experienced educators who take the time to know each child well. They listen closely, respond with care, and design learning experiences that support both growth and confidence. Children are encouraged to ask questions, take thoughtful risks, and develop a strong sense of who they are as learners.
Our program balances rigor with joy and purpose. Each day, children build essential skills in communication, collaboration, and critical thinking through engaging, relevant, and developmentally appropriate learning. We support children in thinking creatively, acting with empathy, and contributing meaningfully to their communities.
We believe that children thrive when there is a strong partnership between school and home. Through conferences, classroom experiences, community events, and parent workshops, we create regular opportunities to connect, share, and work together in support of every child.
Beyond the classroom, we offer a wide range of co-curricular opportunities for children to explore interests, develop strengths, and experience success in different ways. These experiences help shape confident, capable, and joyful learners.
We look forward to welcoming your family into our community and partnering with you to support your child’s growth and well-being.
Warmly,
Tracey Reed
Lower Elementary School Principal
