Welcome to the Upper Elementary School and the American School of Doha!
We are delighted to partner with you in your child’s educational journey. At ASD, we are committed to providing a well-rounded learning experience where every student has the opportunity to explore and showcase their talents—whether in the classroom, on the playing field, or on the stage. Through our comprehensive academic and afterschool programs, we strive to create an environment where all students can grow, succeed, and thrive.
At the heart of our community are the ASD core values of respect, responsibility, honesty, and kindness. These values guide our interactions, shape our learning environment, and help students develop not only academically, but also as thoughtful, caring individuals. We encourage all members of our community—students, staff, and families—to embody these principles each day.
We view parents as essential partners in this journey, and there are many ways to get involved in your child’s experience at ASD. Our active parent volunteer groups—including the PTA, Creative Arts Support Team, Booster Club, Arab Mothers’ Association, and the Black Family Heritage Association—work closely with our school to enhance student learning and build a strong sense of community.
As your family transitions into our school, please know that our dedicated team of teachers and counselors is here to support you every step of the way. We are committed to ensuring that your child feels welcomed, supported, and connected. Should you need any assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to me or Ms. Selina Collins, our Upper Elementary Assistant Principal.
I look forward to meeting you and your child. Thank you for your partnership in what promises to be a wonderful year of learning and growth.
Kind regards,
Brian Donaldson
Upper Elementary School Principal
