During this rotation of IDL, pupils have been working on research based and practical activities in order to improve their understanding of the challenges posed when designing a habitat in the Scottish Highlands. Through their projects, pupils then designed and developed a sustainable habitat, in response to those challenges that they had discovered.
Through their projects, pupils have worked with each other to explore areas such as: structural stability, materials, and explored the environments and the challenges that these pose to their design. The groups tackled these challenges with their own unique directions and interests in mind, culminating in physical models representing their proposed habitats alongside presentations displaying their well-considered background research.
