In the second rotation of this IDL, pupils looked at land management issues and ways of preserving the Bennachie Special Landscape Area. The Bennachie Rangers visited us and took us through their role in managing and protecting the area. They also shared the history of Bennachie (including aircraft crashes) and the wildlife that can be found there. We developed our understanding of the land management issues when the civil engineers that are involved in the changes to the A96 visited us.
The civil engineers discussed the proposed changes to the A96 when they met with us. We considered how these proposed changes to the A96 might impact the Bennachie Special Landscape Area. We learned that the dual carriageway could go straight through the middle of this picture (the view from the B993 to Kemnay).
