Lee from Drayton Manor wrote to us and outlined the brief for our projects. We referred to this whilst developing our rollercoaster designs.
We then took some time to learn the Physics and Maths behind exciting rollercoaster design.
Pupils investigated different aspects of rollercoaster design. For example, the total speed lost every time a rollercoaster train goes round a loop.
Through these investigations, pupils learned the importance of carefully considering the different design elements of their track.
Check out this slow motion video of one of our models completing the loop. Note the stress and strain that the track must withstand as the train makes the loop!
Working with each other, we developed effective marketing and branding for our rollercoasters.
