As part of the ARTinLAN pilot, teachers were asked to get together to make a shared event using the online tools in the ARTinLAN Global Virtual Village. The ARTinLAN project is inspired form a Nordic Online Project: "Nordensdage", where school teachers plan and perform creative online projects together. In ARTinLAN the teachers where put in groups during the teacher training in Brno. These groups then planned and implemented their own online events.
Some of these online events where shared pilots of some of the activities from ARTinLAN, others where short videos send between the classrooms. But as a common result the children got to feel that they were part of a bigger community with children from all over Europe.
Below you can see some of the results.
This was an Online event between Denmark, Poland, Turkey and Czech Republic where the pupils sent real postcards to each other via mail to wish each other merry Christmas.
This was an Online event between Denmark and Sweden.
A Christmas tradition in Denmark and Sweden is the Lucia parade at the 12th of December, where the children sing and bear the lights into the dark time of the year.
In a joint theatre project between Denmark and Sweden they made a performance of the Gingerbred Man story.
Most of the classes sent Christmas greetings to each other - either in a video conference or of a video.
