This year I will be teaching both Personal Fitness and AM Fitness classes!
Personal Fitness - Quarter 3
AM Fitness - Tuesdays & Thursdays, 7:30am - 8:15am, all year(!)
The Physical Education Curriculum align with the Massachusetts State Frameworks. The Physical Education classes work to address the social and academic expectations set forth in Arlington High School’s mission statement. The specific areas addressed are:
Develop the tools and strategies to resolve disagreements and conflicts.
Make informed responsible judgments regarding their personal, emotional and physical well-being.
Learn by application.
Demonstrate integrity, persistence, and the ability to work independently and cooperatively.
Personal Fitness Activities
The focus of this course will include cardiovascular training, flexibility training, muscular strength and endurance training. Workouts will include: body weight exercises, plyometric exercises, resistance training, circuit training, HIIT, and super set training. Students will also have the opportunity to develop and implement their own fitness plans.
