Purpose of AILF
To lead and shape the future of assessment across the Arab world by bringing together elite experts committed to innovation, strategy, and legacy-building in health professions evaluation.
1. Strategic Advisors
Role: Steer the forum’s strategic direction and align it with ABHS leadership.
Members Include: Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, senior ABHS executives
Key Duties:
Define long-term priorities and vision
Approve policy frameworks and innovation proposals
Represent the forum in ABHS executive discussions
Engagement: Biannual strategic meetings
2. Senior Fellows
Role: Serve as high-level mentors and legacy advisors with cross-disciplinary expertise.
Profile: Authorities in assessment, psychometrics, education tech, former council heads
Key Duties:
Advise on global alignment and foresight
Mentor emerging leaders

3. Expert Members
Role: Lead implementation of innovations and actively develop assessment tools.
Profile: Educators, psychometricians, examiners, digital education experts

Design and validate digital MCQs,OSCEs, CBDs, AI-based assessments
Join working groups and pilot projects
Contribute to ABHS-wide innovation efforts

This forum brings together distinguished experts to shape the future of evaluation through innovation, collaboration, and legacy-building.
Your role will include:
Contributing to the Design and Validation of Next-Generation Assessment Tools
Including:
Digital Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCEs)
Case Based Discusiison(CBDs)
AI-assisted evaluation models
You will help ensure these tools are scientifically sound, ethically aligned, and contextually relevant.
Providing Expert Guidance on Psychometrics, Fairness, and Standard Setting
Your insights will support the development of reliable, valid, and equitable assessments across disciplines. You will also contribute to refining standard setting methodologies that reflect international best practices.
Supporting Cross-Council Capacity Building and Examiner Development
You will mentor and support the development of examiners, raters, and assessment leaders across various scientific councils, ensuring a culture of excellence and continuous professional development.
Participating in Pilot Projects and Strategic Planning Workshops
Engage in innovative assessment pilots and high-level planning sessions that influence the future direction of the Arab Board’s assessment strategy.
Leaving a Legacy of Quality and Innovation
