College Board Opportunity Scholarships-- Do you feel like the weight of senior year is bogging you down and you just plain don't have a lot of time to devote to applying for scholarships? Fret no more and check out the College Board Opportunity Scholarships! By completing simple tasks that you're doing anyway (you are doing them, right?...Right?), you get put in the running for several scholarship opportunities, with the chance at a grand prize of a $40,000 scholarship! Monthly drawings will be held for smaller award amounts if you do things like complete your FAFSA, complete a college list, or practice for the SAT! It's all a win-win. Jiffy Lube Teen Driver Scholarship Program--The Jiffy Lube "What Drives You?" High School Scholarship program is a unique opportunity to pursue your interests, goals and ideas. A simple 500 words about what drives you? Finalist essays will be selected from the 500 word “What Drives You?” essays. Each finalist will be guaranteed a minimum $1,500 award if they create and submit a unique 1-2 min. video that expands on their essay in their own candid words, visuals, etc. The overall $5,000 scholarship winner will be chosen from these videos. Kirtland Spouses Club Scholarship--The Kirtland Spouses' Club is honored to offer merit-based scholarships to military spouses, military dependent graduating high school seniors, and military dependent college students. The number of scholarships awarded each year and the amount of each scholarship will vary based on funds available, the number of applicants, and the quality of applications. Funding for these scholarships is made possible by the generous staff, volunteers, and shoppers of the Kirtland Thrift Shop. Apply here by March 15!

Honeywell Opportunity for Prosperity through Education Scholarship - New Mexico--The purpose of this scholarship fund is to provide talented high school students who are economically challenged with a funded path to a post secondary degree focused on a career in a manufacturing trade or technical profession.

To be eligible you must be a high school senior, and:

  • have a minimum GPA of 2.5 (unweighted) in their senior year,

  • plan to pursue a manufacturing or trade degree (Associate in Applied Science or certificate trade program), and

  • must be graduating from a high school in the Albuquerque Community.

Community service and extracurricular activities are a plus. Apply here by May 15!
