With the Covid-19 pandemic, many colleges and universities went to test optional for the SAT and ACT being required for admissions. Now that things are starting to normalize with COVID, some colleges and universities are starting to require again the SAT or ACT for admissions. California State University and University of California systems no longer require the SAT or ACT for admissions. However, the privates colleges and universities in California might and can elect to make it a requirement for their admissions process. Please check with the colleges or universities that you are interested in for what they require as part of their admissions process. Also, it is the students responsibility to go into either, and/or their ACT/SAT accounts to request their scores to be sent to the colleges and universities they are applying to.
