Laptops are considered nex+Gen property at all times and are not to be used to view or transmit content which is not educationally appropriate.
Don’t touch equipment that doesn’t belong to you or you haven’t been given permission to use.
Students will need to develop a routine of charging their laptops each evening. nex+Gen does not have enough electrical outlets to support students charging during the school day.

Impersonating another user in any way including using their account.

Accessing non-educational sites during class time.

Portable game systems are not to be used during class time.
Use of MP3 players are allowed at the discretion of the Facilitator.
“Sexting”, sending sexual material in any form including sexual photos, images or text messages should not be contained in any electronic device including camera or smart phones. Transmission or sharing of such material is not just a serious violation of nex+Gen policy, but may become a criminal violation.
Personal items of value such as iPads, cell phones and expensive headphones are the responsibility of the student. Nex+Gen discourages students from bringing these items to school as they can easily become a distraction. If these items are lost, stolen or damaged, the school is not responsible for search, replacement or reimbursement. At no time are personal devices of ANY kind to be attached to or utilize the school wifi system, nor are personal “hotspots” allowed.
Student Cell Phone Policy: Since the end of the pandemic we have seen an increase in the distracting influence of student electronic devices in our classrooms. To address this growing problem, we have updated our cell phone policies and procedures. Here are our school-wide classroom expectations for cell phones.
Cell phones should be silenced and in backpacks, unless explicitly given facilitator permission to use them.
Personal use of cell phones is only allowed during lunchtime and passing periods.
In case of emergency, you may contact your student by calling the front desk.
Cell phones may be confiscated by teachers. The phone will be locked in a safe in the administrative office and will be returned only to a parent/legal guardian.
