Arrival Time:

Classes start promptly at 8:40 am. Students may not be in the building earlier than 7:00 am.

After School:

The school will be cleared at 3:30pm every day. Students will only be allowed in the building if they are in Drivers Education or working directly with a teacher. Students who must wait for a ride can walk 0.4 miles to the Erna Fergusson Library on San Mateo. Please make arrangements to pick up students in a timely fashion during cold or inclement weather.

School Buses:

Students living in the Del Norte attendance area may ride the school bus. Buses pick-up and drop-off behind the Del Norte Gym. As a School of Choice, transportation to and from nex+Gen Academy is not provided for other students.

Bikes & Skateboards:

Students may bring their skateboards to school.  Skateboards cannot be ridden anywhere on campus or in the building. Bikes can be locked up in the bike rack just west of the building

Closed Campus

Freshmen and Sophomores:

For freshmen and sophomores, nex+Gen is a completely closed campus. Students are expected to be on campus from 8:40 to 3:25.

Juniors: 

Juniors are required to be on campus all day unless they have an early release. There is no coming and going throughout the day, including lunch time.

Seniors:

Seniors that have late arrival or early dismissal must not be on campus during these class periods. Please arrange for the correct drop-off or pick-up time if the student does not drive to school. If student chooses to stay on campus, elective courses may be added to fill in the open class periods. Seniors can go off-campus for lunch. nex+Gen staff may check by asking for ID and schedule. Seniors may not hang out in the parking lot at lunch.
