Supporting English Learners

Individualized Language Plans

Individualized Language Plans are designed to support teachers in thinking deeply about how to support English Learners.  The documents have space for demographic information, test results, links to WIDA resources, and a large bank of scaffolds, sorted by proficiency level, for teachers to consider implementing for their students.  Because the documents are so detailed, we recommend starting with creating plans for your neediest learners (newcomers, SLIFE, dually identified, students in MLSS, etc.)

Review the "Overview and Tips" document for quick suggestions about the ILPs, or watch the video below for a more in-depth review of the templates.
