We believe that the Student Government Association can be a real force for good at this university. The SGA has experienced a lot of change in recent months and we are excited to continue working on this positive growth. As Student Body President and Vice President, we will make sure that the SGA is focused on bringing students and student organizations together so that we continue to make a positive impact on Appalachian’s campus.
Increase SGA’s relationship with clubs, offer opportunities and partnerships as well as funding for student projects; we have a $20,000 budget, so let’s spend it on things that matter.
Supporting and advocating for clubs and organizations on campus is a new goal for the SGA. Partnering with clubs will help us reach out to the wider Student Body and collaborate with students who
Improve UREC by promoting student participation to explore/prioritize improvement options in equipment and programming.
By giving students more options and opportunities for feedback, we will be able to expand on UREC facilities and equipment that will best serve students and will encourage them to engage in physical activity and campus resources.
Work more directly and cooperatively with the administration; they do not have to be our enemies; we can work together.
Cooperating with administration is necessary for making substantive change. By working with administration we can ensure that progress is made and that the Appalachian experience is improved.
