The competitive advantage for CookOut in Canada would be the extremely diverse selection of food and milkshakes, along with late hours. Even though Canada has fast food restaurants similar to CookOut like McDonalds, and Wendy's neither of these have 40+ milkshake flavors or late hours. Another thing to think about is Canadas similarity to the U.S as far as food and culture. Canadians love there late night snacks along with a very diverse menu, when you go to cookout it can be sometimes difficult to pick what you want. This is something Canadians would love considering they have diverse food options just like the U.S. The diverse menu, and long hours are really the two factors that give them such a competitive advantage over other restaurants, no one has that in Canada. As far as alliancing goes I couldn't find much differences in the Canadian diet vs the American diet for those reasons I think we would benefit from going at it on or own and not alliancing. CookOut has been successful in the U.S which would translate to Canada with all the similarities that I've talked about, especially when Canada has less competitors for CookOut than the U.SÂ
