It was founded in 1989 by Morris Reaves and his family in Greensboro, North Carolina. The concept behind Cook Out was to offer a wide variety of freshly grilled burgers, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, and barbecue in a fast-food format, all at affordable prices.
Cookout is a very centralized chain that has not expanded internationally to this date. However, Cookout now has over 250 stores that span across NC, SC, VA, KY, AL, MD, WV, TN, GA, and MS. This demonstrates Cookout's rapid growth and why we feel they could potentially be a company that expands internationally.
