Federal Civil Rights Data Collection ( CRDC):
This year and next year, we are required to report data to the Federal Government. Dr. LaCorte has been reaching out to Principals to review and verify data that needs to be reported. We appreciate your help and cooperation in this process.
Data Visualizations:
ELA Interims Post Test Analysis under the Admin Dashboard has been updated to include the most recent ELA Interims results
In Other News:
We integrated the Lucky Numbers App for Keane through Clever
We are integrating Aperture Education App for Single On through Clever for the High School
If you would like to use One Call now and have not connected with the Data Department, please submit a Data Request and we can start this process.
Data Requests:
The Data Team has a new process for Data Requests. Data Requests can be submitted through Let's Talk. There is a Data Request option under SCSD Employees. This allows the Data Team to efficiently monitor requests and ensure timelines are met.
Digital Equity Survey:
Please encourage families to fill out the Digital Equity Survey if they have not done so already. The link can be found on the SCSD Website. Due to the number of responses we may move to another way to obtain this data from families and will communicate the new process once it has been identified.
What is the purpose of this survey? To best serve students, families, and educators, it is imperative that NYSED has an accurate picture of the state of digital equity for New York students and teachers. This data will be used on an ongoing basis throughout the year to help identify specific needs and target resources and funding opportunities when they become available.
WINTER WEATHER AND YOUR STUDENT’S BUS
It is important for families to know what to do in the event of bad weather. City roads can be tricky for busses to travel and can sometimes create delays picking up students. See below for some important information regarding school closing due to weather.
-If there are any closings or delays, the school district uses multiple methods of communication:
- Local News Stations (TV & Web)
- School Website
- Text Alerts: If you have not signed up for text alerts, go to:
www.schenectady.k12.ny.us -> Parents -> eNews and Text
Message Alert Registration -> Text Alert Registration
Families will be notified by the same methods as closings and delays, as well as robo-call. Please remind parents to provide the school with an updated phone number.

Hardship Form Explanation:
This is a guide for staff to help them when families are requesting Enrollment Hardships.
While the Hardship Process has very little wiggle room, it is dynamic when a situation requires it to be.
The Hardship Request Process is also subject to change as circumstances may require.
